| Daniel G. Skratek is the Wireless Washtenaw project manager for 20/20 Communications. Skratek joined 20/20 in March of 2006 and brought with him a wealth of experience regarding management, mergers and world wide projects.
For 18 years, Skratek was employed at Warner-Lambert/Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research and Development in Ann Arbor, MI. There he progressed through the information technology ranks and became the World Wide Sr. Director of Pharmaceutical Research Information Services. Skratek’s responsibilities included computer operations, desktop support for 6000 researchers, help desk, intranet, web design and user education.
During the Pfizer/Warner-Lambert merger, Skratek was appointed the Warner-Lambert Research IS co-Chair along with Pfizer appointed co-Chair Tony Hewer. Skratek’s charge was to manage the 50 representatives from the seven world-wide Research centers, examine and select best practices, provide connected intranet and email services on day 1 of the merger and provide leadership as a new IT Management organization was developed.
Skratek’s next appointment was Sr. Program Director charged with upgrading all Research desktops in seven countries from a variety of operating systems to Windows 2000. Skratek took over the stalled project, cut seconded staff from 320 to 190 and completed the transition for 30,000 desktops in 13 months within the $17MM budget.
Skratek was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1972. He received his BA from Wayne State University in 1977 with a double major in Marketing and Management. He moved to the Ann Arbor area in 1979 where he continued to take technical and business courses throughout his career. |
