Deborah E. Peterson is Vice President and a shareholder of 20/20 Communications. Peterson joined the company in 1988 when it was doing business as Ann Arbor Wireless. Peterson started as manager of sales and marketing. Since then, Peterson’s customer focus, leadership and passion have become hallmarks of her tenure at the company.
During the past 19 years, Peterson has built a residential and corporate customer base of 30,000 continuing and 10,000 drop-in customers per year at the five (5) 20/20 Communications locations. Peterson is accountable for overseeing the development of marketing, planning, execution processes, tools, systems, and training for all 20/20 products and services. This includes traditional and wireless broadband internet.
Together with McCleary and the company’s other business and technical leaders, Peterson is focused on continuing 20/20’s innovation and community partnership with the goal of bringing inexpensive and free wireless broadband communications to all of Washtenaw County.
Peterson was born in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1983, with a bachelor’s degree in education. From then until 1987 she taught school in Hinsdale, IL. In 1987 she moved back to Ann Arbor and worked at Cumulus Broadcasting as their representative in radio advertising and sales. Ann Arbor Wireless was one of her accounts. |
