AT&T Customer SMTP Support


SETTING UP OUTLOOK/MAIL SYSTEM TO WORK WITH AT&T
Change the outgoing mail server to “smtp.att.yahoo.com”. AT&T says that you can also use “email.att.yahoo.com”
- Set the outgoing port number to “465”.
- Port 25 can be opened up by AT&T but it needs to be requested - Server Requires an Encrypted Connection (SSL) must be selected
- My Server Requires Authentication must be selected
- The username and password are the same as the DSL/email username/password
SETTING UP OUTGOING MAIL ACCOUNTS THROUGH AT&T
Every email account that you need to use AT&T’s outgoing mail server for needs to be setup through AT&T’s webmail.

- Step 1: Go to att.yahoo.com

- Click the “Mail” button

- Step 2: Login with your DSL username and Password

- Step 3: Once logged in, Click the “Options” link on the top rightSelect “Mail Options” from the drop down menu

- Step 4: Click the “Accounts” Link on left side menu

- Click the link “Add or edit an account” in the center of the screen

- Step 5: Click the “Add” button

     Step 1: Enter an account name (user discrepancy)

     Step 2: Enter the Sending users Name and an email address. Click the “Continue” button on the left when ready

     Step 3: Click the “Skip this Step” button on the bottom left

     Step 4: Click the “Send Verification” button to send a verification email to the velocedge email address

        - Check your email from AT&T, get the Confirmation Code, and input that into the AT&T email page.

     Step 5: Click the “Verify Account” button on the bottom left.

- Re-type your AT&T password to get back into the Accounts page.

NOTE:  Each email address needs to be added to AT&T’s mail individually.
